I love wine and pretty much drink it every day! I attend wine tastings every week and typically taste 7 to 20 wines a week. Every week I find some new wines worthy of my money.

What can I say? I purchased 4 bottles of this in a mixed case based upon a recent tasting I attended, that was a mistake. This wine is made from overripe grapes and as a result it has a big nose...

Great summer barbecue wine. Not a lot going on in the nose but passable, however for the money, about $7, a truly great value. In the mouth it is a fruity wine with a great moderate tannin...

"My best sources for Aussie Shiraz have been the following:
Lamb's Thriftway Palisades ( L.O.)
Strohecker's
Lamb's Garden Home
Haggen ( Tualatin)

FYI - my husband read somewhere that Layer Cake Shiraz should be available March or a little later - hope this is the case.

Good Luck with your search."

"Yea, that agrees with the way that I seem to see the ratings used. Unfortunately, that creates confusion for everyone. Ideally, I would like to see all wines given two ratings. One, an absolute rating and two, a value rating. I believe that would provide far more information to consumers and it would make it very easy for folks that don't do a lot of tasting to select wines at their preferred price point. I realize that this is not the way the pro's like Parker and others rate wine but for the general public it would be more helpful."
