"Hey! It's a pleasure to hear from you Gary- someone I feel to be a true pioneer in this industry.
My fuss about the heat was simply due to seeing the damage that a beautiful summer day can do to something exquisite. Quick story: Was working for an auction house in the city, and received an Imperial of 1990, DRC Montrachet. Yea. The rest of this gentleman's wine was in top shape- but this one bottle happened to come by a private courier who must not have understood the importance of climate control. So, an imperial worth approximately $18,000 or so showed up at our facility, nice, warm, toasty to the touch... and cloudy as could be.
I think you could understand my sensitivity to the whole "shipping wine in summer" thing ;). Great to hear from you, and keep up the great work. Just remember next time: at least Cleveland Browns stadium is called that, and is in Cleveland. Whereas, I believe, NY Jets stadium, for decades, was not called that, and was located, eh, in Jersey ;).
My best!"
