Really beautiful Bual, probably one of my favorites. Toasted walnuts, hazelnuts, maple and light-roast coffee.

If I ever need a really affordable treat for some grilled lamb or otherwise hearty fare, I always try and find a Weinert Carrascal. The vintage really doesn't matter. What a value! Great...

Solid, casual, Argentine week-night pasta wine with surprising depth for the price. I really liked the berry juice flavors from the Bonarda, which added great acidity to the other, deeper cherry...

2008 Santa Julia Organica Bonarda Sangiovese 2008

"Nice not on the Zweigelt. And great call on pairing it with charcuterie! Sounds like a wonderful way to pass an hour or two. Thanks for sharing."

"Ciao Maurizio, I was really disappointed in that bad example of Beneventano IGT exactly because I've had such spectacular Greco di Tufo, Fiano, Falanghina wines from several producers. Campanian white wines are, at least in terms of my preferences, some of the most exciting white wines in the world. I think that in the case of the unfortunate Beneventano I tried, Marks & Spencer here in the UK went with a bad producer. "

"Hi, I've read your review of the white whine of the Benevento region (and your disappointment) ;-). Benevento is my parents home town. Try an excellent Falanghina from Feudi di San Gregorio... great white wine from an excellent winery. "
