You can find a number of custom bottling options in the $10-30 (or more) range, but at 1/10 that your options will definitely be limited. Just Google 'custom wine bottlings', or the...

So were any of them any good? Not that many of the wineries from the NW, whether Oregon or Washington, even existed when Mt. St. Helens blew back in 1980. I suppose we should be thankful that...

"And I did notice that there were a lot of posts under that article from avatars with that as their first or second posting. Combined with that post with the very quick and precise recommendations about retailers in the UK and Japan, the impression was clear that some people in the local industry were, indeed, 'rallying the troops.'"

"Yep, I mentioned some months ago in that GrandCru thread that some attention on the area would be good. Looks like the industry there is feeling a little underappreciated. Certainly better value than Napa/Sonoma, which is well popular in this economy, and the wines I mention are just plain good, though some of those mentioned in other posts aren't great, IMO. I haven't tasted enough of them, though, and look forward to imbibing more. Certainly a better lake of wines from there than from, say, N.Z.

One of the costs of Snooth's increased exposure these days, I suppose. But should be fine if you follow up with something on Oregon. Then Washington, too, I would think. Probably best to separate the two since there's so much to cover these days. Shouldn't be all that difficult to do in a way that doesn't look like you've been browbeaten into it...."

I was a bit hesitant to post and was afraid of overkill, but some good Spanish Priorat forced me to say 'what the hell'. At least it wasn't Rioja, or like Degrandcru I might have ended up digging a new wine cellar! Pretty hard since my apartment here in Tokyo is on the second floor....

Hope you and yours have a good Thanksgiving!"

dmcker reviewed Gamage Entre-Deux-Mers 2007. (3/5)

Well more than a carafe wine, not at all the traditionally mellow, soft and sweetish wines that were common in the past from entre-deux-mers. Good SB minerality and a fresh, crisp acid bite from...
