Argyle up here in OR is making wines that are on par with many high end champagne houses, and their ETB wines are incredible for the money.

Rose, the drier the better! Most go fantastic with everything on a thanksgiving table. Viognier also goes well, although some tend to overpower with their perfumy nose.

My top would be Syrah. Not only can it be produced in a huge variety of differing styles, many of those styles can be brilliant wines. Close second would be Grenache, in both rose and red forms....

Dear corskier,

Hello!

This is Daniel Shin, studying in MSc Food Management at University of Surrey.
I am studying the consumer's wine buying behaviour online.
This research seeks the opinion of people who have had an experience purchasing wine either online or from other sources to investigate factors influencing customers’ wine purchasing behaviour in online shopping.
I have to find at least 100 people who have an experience of buying wine online.
If possible, could you send the questionnaire to members and ex-members?
It is linked to http://freeonlinesurveys.com/rendersurvey.asp?sid=jj73z5zbvz3kxvj610601
And if you cannot link to survey, please copy and paste the address on the web.
It just takes 1 min to answer the questionnaire.
I would be most grateful, if you could spare your time to send the questionnaire.
If you want to see research results, then I will send you after analysing the survey.
The research will contribute to a MSc dissertation in Food Management at the University of Surrey.
Any information provided will ONLY be used for research purposes.
All responses will be treated with the strictest confidence.
I am only in interested in obtaining consumers' views.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind Regards,

Daniel Shin

"I think my local friends would baulk at the idea of me shipping out the winee I've been espousing for the last 8 months. Won't be too much of a chore :) And we take waterfalls for granted around here, although it's nice to stop when driving over a mountain pass and hike in to see one. Or look at the hundreds that are cascading down the side of the road."

Although it's non-vintage, the wine still changes quite a bit between the different iterations, as many of these "kitchen sink" blends tend to do. I found that I enjoyed it...

Starts pleasant with red berry flavors. Good mouthfeel until the finish which ends abruptly with astringent tannins.
