cookypuss1 reviewed Owen Roe Yakima Red 2007. (5/5)
On Nov 12

Really loved this wine. Almost equal parts of Merlot, Cab Franc, and Cab Sauv, it was a delight to drink. Plush fruit of cherry, raspberry, and blackberry, but lovely structure and medium-firm...

Owen Roe Yakima Red 2007

Starting at $44.55 Snoothrank: 4/5
On Nov 9

This Pinot will surprise (and maybe shock!) you. It is funky and feety with some tobacco on the nose! There certainly is fruit present, but the blackberry and cherry flavors are nuanced by a...

Phillips Hill Pinot Noir, Marguerite Vineyard 2007

Starting at $40.00 Snoothrank: 3.5/5
On Nov 9

Drinking very well now! Great wine with bright acidity, red cherry flavors backed up by a little earth. We drank on its own, but it would be tremendous with food, perhaps even Turkey dinner!

Phillips Hill Oppenlander Vineyard Pinot Noir 2006

Starting at $44.99 Snoothrank: 4/5
cookypuss1 reviewed Château Léoville Barton St.-Julien 1998. (4.5/5)

Really enjoyed this wine! It enjoyed several hours of decanting, and revealed its lovely violet nose. Definitely a pleasure to sniff! Very refined wine - nice blackberry on the palate with a...

Château Léoville Barton St.-Julien 1998

cookypuss1 reviewed Château Calon-Ségur St.-Estèphe 2000. (5/5)
On Nov 9

Decanted for several hours, and tasted bits along the way. Did not start to show its true character until around hour 6. Truly fantastic wine - heavy, primal nose. Fig and cassis on the palate,...

"I did read that he was from Burgundy, which I thought was cool! Thanks for the tip on the Chardonnay - I will definitely seek it out. Love the white Burgundies, but don't love their price tag, so I'll give the Radford Dale a try!

Have a great weekend!"

"Alex Dale is from Burgundy, I know you wouldn't guess from the name. Their Chardonnay, which was about $20 no idea if it's more or less now, was great and about as Burgundian as an Chardonnay I've had that wasn't from Burgundy. Worth looking around for if you like that style. The shiraz/viognier is pretty good too but a notch below the other but I bet in a vintage or two it's going to rock!"

"It was my first wine of theirs, and I was impressed! Will definitely seek out some more. :) Anything else you'd recommend other than the Gravity?"

"Great note on the Radford Dale. I am a big fan of their wines. I think you're right about the gravity. Give it 2-3 years and revisit."
