Really elegant stuff. Perfect balance, good length. As with brandy, quality has a lot to do with length of time in barrel, so one can only expect so much of a mid range bottling-it simply...
Excellent nv champagne. Good balance, fine bead, not too foamy. Yeast and almond on the nose, toasty on the palate with hints of reserve wines in the background.
The only VORS sherry I've ever had, so can't compare it with others of that quality level, but I was blown away by this stuff. Huge concentration, pungent, fills the room with its aroma...
Yeasty and briny, baking spices, nutty, much richer than what I normally think of as typical amontillado. Maybe this is Lustau's house style, to tend toward richness. Very very good stuff...
