I am a value wine lover (though that threshold keeps incrementing) living in the midst of many, many wineries. I also like food, my Border Collie, my job, and my boyfriend. I prefer the East Coast, but forgive California largely because of the wine.

beahburger reviewed Chaddsford Winery Due Rossi 2005. (4/5)

Who would have thought Pennsylvania was producing such mature, sophisticated reds? Beautifully balanced, warm, and round. A pleasing layer of licorice and subtle floral notes give this bottle...

Chaddsford Winery Due Rossi 2005

Starting at $24.99 Snoothrank: 3.5/5
On Jul 12

A serious, brooding red that will likely benefit from a couple more years of bottle age or some generous decanting. Pronounced notes of cocoa and spice are well integrated with berry fruit and...

Chaddsford Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Rouge 2006

Starting at $18.99 Snoothrank: 3/5
beahburger reviewed Chaddsford Winery 2007 Pinot Noir 2007. (2.5/5)
On Jul 12

A little rough for those accustomed to delicate California Pinots (me) -- the deep, deep purple anticipates the ample spice and earth, and even tannins, in this (apparently) characteristic...

Chaddsford Winery 2007 Pinot Noir 2007

Starting at $15.99 Snoothrank: 3/5
On Jul 12

100% Chambourcin (estate grown, I think). One of the smokiest, most savory wines I've ever tasted -- uncanny notes of cured salami and Louisiana style smoked brisket. Not the most balanced or...

Chaddsford Winery Proprietord Reserve Red 2007

Starting at $12.99 Snoothrank: 3/5
beahburger reviewed Chaddsford Winery 2008 Dry Rose 2008. (3.5/5)
On Jul 12

A truly dry Rose; even some subtle and pleasing bitterness on the finish. Barbie pink in color, but as sophisticated on the palate as any Rose I've tasted. Will likely pair well with grilled...

I'm definitely in, and will bring a friend. A good "moderate" hike is no problem. Also, +1 for the Santa Cruz Mountains (as opposed to Sonoma/Napa).
