"Hey Pail,

We have a really exciting line-up tomorrow for our blind tasting. We'll be tasting grilling reds, some great Syrah, Malbec and ZInfandel. There's still a few seats available for the blind tasting 4 flights of 3 wines. As usual no charge. Let me know if you can join us.

Best

"Having some folks over this evening from 7-9 for a very casual Snooth Sauvignon Blanc tasting.

No schedule folks can come and go as they please. 3 bonus bottles will also be opened, cab, pino and a white blend, just for fun.

If you are interested in coming just let me know.

Thanks

WinePaul reviewed Barolo Pio Cesare 2004. (4.5/5)

Just a baby, but incredibly delicious. Moderate to big tannin, decanted for less than an hour. Quite aromatic, classic violets and tar. Ripe flavors, concentrated. Opens up very slowly, but it...

Barolo Pio Cesare 2004

Starting at $19.92 Snoothrank: 4/5

Good Sangiovese flavor - sour cherry, some leather, some wet earth. Nice acidity, easily complementing the tomato in the sauce. Some ripe tannin that adds, rather than detracts, from the enjoyment.

WinePaul reviewed Château Austerlitz Saint-Emilion 2003. (3.5/5)

Solid, well made Bordeaux. Good value. Nice core of fruit, well balanced.

WinePaul reviewed Eric Texier Côtes Du Rhône 2006. (4/5)

This is a very good CdR. It's spicy. It's got some nice red cherry fruit, and some fresh, ripe tannin. I would say that it's the spice that takes it above the usual CdR....

Eric Texier Côtes Du Rhône 2006

My New Year's Eve wine. Incredibly good. The cassis fruit is so pure it was like a laser to the taste buds. The fruit was followed by very pretty leather with a little vanilla oak. The finish...

Château Les Ormes de Pez Saint-Estèphe 2001

This is from A Mano Primitivo 2006. If these scores were correct, it would be a hell of a find. Unfortunately, they don't exist. Tanzer (IWC) last reviewed the wine in the 2000 vintage;...
