Dark red fruit with a bit of alcohol on the nose; briar and smoke over top of red fruit on the palate. More tannic than the '07- from less bottle time? Different but still good; same score....
Wild berry nose with notes of leather and red licorice, and blueberry/floral notes on the palate/finish. Easy drinking with moderate acidity and low tannins.
Old world nose- 'stinky cheese'/barnyard. Notes of mushrooms hit the mouth first, followed by a slightly oaky midpalate, with a bit of cherry underneath it all. Supple with soft tannins....
Cherry/vanilla nose, adding a bit of spice on the palate. A bit thin, but tannins are there- better than many other $6 bottles.
A little barnyard hits first on the nose, followed by some subtle dark berries. Dry and earthy, a bit of wood. Very old world. Light, with moderate tannins & a short-medium finish.
