"Hi Lara,

Pretty much done with Syrah for the moment. 2 Cali cab tasting in the next 7 weeks, as well as Pinot, sparkling wine, dessert wine, Tuscany and Spain.

Thanks for thinking of us!"

"I would definitely recommend Ruinart. You have to book in advance, it is about 26 euros, but the tour is excellent- you get to go 3 stories deep into their chalk caves and you can taste through any one of their collection (even Dom Ruinart 1996 Rose - $400/bottle). Additional samples (full-size glasses) are only 4 euros. I didnt take Tattinger's tour but I visited their chateau, and it was far more touristy-marketing-oriented and I believe you do not get to taste their premium cuvees. Still love Tattinger wines though!"

Carnation pink color. Notes of tart, early summer strawberries, with just a hint of that signature spicy tempranillo. Present but not overbearing acidity.

Very earthy, forest floor on the palate. Still has lots of fruit-- dark raspberry and prune. Smooth texture, med-full body, imperceptible tannins. A real treat. 7/20/09

Anyone who thinks they don't like chardonnay should give this a shot-- lots of mineral, crisp fruit flavors, nice white burgundy.

Not a huge Chardonnay fan, but this stuff is an awesome value. Light crisp citrus and green apple flavors, no (or very little) oak, no creamy or buttery flavors. A very refreshing and tasty...
