Yeasty brioche with apple pie aromatics and crisp refreshing minerality. Aged ( I think) at least 8 yrs sur lie and then allowed to rest with the dosage for another 2 yrs-- but still not overly...
Carnation pink color. Notes of tart, early summer strawberries, with just a hint of that signature spicy tempranillo. Present but not overbearing acidity.
Very earthy, forest floor on the palate. Still has lots of fruit-- dark raspberry and prune. Smooth texture, med-full body, imperceptible tannins. A real treat. 7/20/09
Anyone who thinks they don't like chardonnay should give this a shot-- lots of mineral, crisp fruit flavors, nice white burgundy.
Not a huge Chardonnay fan, but this stuff is an awesome value. Light crisp citrus and green apple flavors, no (or very little) oak, no creamy or buttery flavors. A very refreshing and tasty...
