Well-knit, cassis-focused Napa Cab. Nice subtle earth and spice notes. A good, dependable wine from a solid winery. Maybe a little light for an '05.
Great dollar to sinful ratio. Fun. Good crisp focused acidity. Just looking at the bottle makes me crave caviar, toast points and ... more caviar. This is a fantastic NV Brut for the price.
Kim Crawford and Cloudy Bay are two of my favorite NZ Sauv Blancs. This one in particular has good grapefruit notes and a bright acidity that make it zesty and delicious.
What a gem. The 1986 Mouton was gorgeous the last time I had it. Big and bold, yet the tannins had acquired a softness that was downright voluptuous. The 1985 was also showing well. Overall...
