"The wine tasting was very enjoyable. The theme was Summer Wines. We tasted 7 wines of all types... reds, whites, and a wonderful sparkling white from the Piedmont of Italy. I rated two on Snooth so far. Have you ever tried an unoaked Chardonnay? What did you think? "

"Oh Great! I have seen the Bonterra label. I will check it out. I am going to Total Wine's Gals-N-Grapes wine tasting tonight. I am not sure what they have instore for us. I will see what they have in stock for Bonterra. Thanks!"

"If you liked Fetzer's Gewürztraminer, try some of their other wines. They make a few decent reds. Also, they put out a decent Cab under their Bonterra label. "

Smoky taste and smell. Fairly astringent with a bitter, walnut-like aftertaste.
A lot of sediment. LIke the other 1969 Henri de Villamont, past its prime. Notable taste and smell I'd associate with vegemite.
Fairly hot. Harsh earthy and olive smell. Color had degraded to dark orange. Ok, but well past its prime.
Super charcoal/smoke smelling and tasting. Somewhat floral, but also sour. Possible issues with the fruit? The host of the tasting suggested that 2004 was a wet year and there were problems...
Fiarly tart with floral and coffee notes.
Thanks for all the suggestions and websites to check out! Anyone know any other good organic wines coming out of the US, preferably California, Oregon, or Washington?
Can anyone recommend a wine made from organically-grown grapes? Feel free to post. For my part, I enjoy Bonterra Cabernet Sauvignon, from Hopland, Mendocino County, CA.
