Great nose. Full big blowsy rich fruit and notes of licorice, spice, a great accompaniment to spicy italian sausage or even mussels, clams and fresh calimari.
Worthy of slow appreciation in the way one sips a single malt scotch whiskey. The complexity reveals in layers of raspberry, then black cherry, then bright toast and a spicy finish. A keeper.
