Nice color. Red berry on the nose. Cinnamon spice with short finish, but it was there. Will drink it again.

I am looking for a basic wine cabinet that will hold around 200 bottles of wine. Something that does not have to look good because it will be out of sight. Can anyone give me any insight?...

Gantt and SK reviewed Erath Pinot Noir Estate 2007. (1/5)
On Nov 13

Was like water in the mouth. Any flavors that were there (mostly cherry and red berry) didn't hang around very long. As in almost non-existent. Needless to say there was not a finish....

I would have to say Pinot and Syrah are my top two in no particular order. Zin is next in line with great Chardonnay falling in the list when it is warm outside. I don't have much...

Gantt and SK reviewed King Estate Signature Pinot Noir 2006. (4/5)
On Nov 2

I will buy this one for sure. Enjoyed it at a local restaurant Saturday night. Had a soft entry but with a slight acidic feel to it. Nicely balanced in that regard. The fruit was cherry and...

"Cinsault drinks lighter like a Pinot Noir or a Granache. Deliciously mellow and light for a red, so share with your favorite lady."

I greatly enjoyed this wine. Wish I would have decanted it a bit but oh well. It was nice and smooth with a little weight to it. Had a meat on the nose and nice even fruit in the mouth. Will...

Gantt and SK reviewed Perrin Reserve Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2006. (2.5/5)
On Oct 30

I will probably keep one of these around because our Cote Du Rhone selections are not that strong in Mississippi. I will say however, that it is a decent wine but extremely light. I can see...

"Question, is Cinsault compareable to a Pinot Noir or a Cab? What should I be looking for when I finally do drink it?

It doesn't seem to have a whole lot of info out there on it. I guess that is because it is usually blended.

Thanks,
Gantt"

"The Turley Cinsault is a young 2008 vintage, so it would definately benefit from staying in the cellar for 2-3 years to mellow. Normally Cinsault is a varietal used in blends, but this Turley is unusual as it is 100% Cinsault. All Turleys are in demand. This cult vintner has a ten year waiting list, with newbies only being alotted a few bottles and oldies to the list garnering a few cases. This 2008 Cinsault was just a 325 case run and half of it was purchased by the Wine Garage in Calistago for their big bold red club member distribution. That leaves just 150 cases for distribution, so yes this Cinsault should come a collector item.

"What all do you know about the Turley Cinsault? I just got it in a wine club and am pretty excited about it. Should I leave it in the cooler for a few years? Is it as wanted as the other Turley wines are?

Thanks,
Gantt"

"The first bottle I ever had was what turned me on to more earthy flavors in wines. I liked it so much I got a half case delivered to me. The first three bottles I drank were just as the first one I had bought. The last three had this ailment. But as I said, once I decanted it for probably over an hour, or as long as it takes two people to drink another bottle, it was quiet good. Still had some great earthy flavors just without the smell and taste that it had in the beginning.

I probably won't get anymore at this time just because I am really enjoying Beajulous and Syrah right now. But I would recommend it!!!

I have several great Pinot Noirs from the 2004 - 2006 range. Will these continue to stay strong? I ask because I would rather not drink them and start learning about Beajulous and Syrah for the time being.

Is there any tips you can give me about those two?

Thanks,
Gantt

p.s. I appreciate your one on one advice."
