I have been a personal wine consultant here, in Northern CA for 15 years and taste between 1500 and 2000 wines a year. I taste the bad ones so my clients don't have to. I specialize in small family owned wineries that don't have much distribution.

"Thank you, I have been in the wine business for 15 years and have tasted most of the "cult" favorites as well as lots of small family start ups. I am sure you are familiar with Cain V? We started with their first vinatage, now we are lucky to get a couple of cases.
I am going to start working on tasting notes and favorites like Kathryn Kennedy and Lewis and I can add you to my weekly wine letter with notes if you want to give me your e-mail address.
Most of my clients, the people I sell wine to, are out of California and they really appreciate getting the newest greatest wines from California. I also taste a little from Italy and Spain and France but very limited.

You didn't mention how long you were going to spend in wine country, which ever one you land in. Highway 12 in Sonoma County is turning into our 29 with lots of little tasting rooms along...
