An elegant and dark zin. Black fruit, bramble and very light pepper spice.
A WOW zin that is full of dark fruit, bramble, earth and spice. Killer!
Nice wine that is almost pinotesque. Dry Creek dust, red berry and white pepper spice.
Simple and light. Cranberry and dust flavors.
Dark, inky and bone dry. Red fruits and earth are secondary. About as close to Italy as we get in Cali.
Got ya...I read too fast;-) Also, try some Seghesio. The 2004 was one of the best wines I have had recently. I remember being out with friends in the mid-80s and having a 1977 Mondavi barbera...
A fantastic read, yet as someone who studied history in college it is a bit airbrushed. Enjoy your vacation and the book. DC
Too bad. We do make a handful of good ones, but they tend to be very different from the Italian Barberas. If you get a chance try Unti or Sunce Barbera. They may change your mind. The Noceto...
