lol @ the thread drift. I realized just how wrong I was when the solution was reached. Thought the question was more along the lines of pairing a wine with a cake- rather than the name of a wine...

Zufrieden- Port was a direction I was considering too, but it's tough to say without knowing the kind of cake. Some Inniskilin may meet the cake on the decadence level as well... specially...

"Hi guy! Been a while since we've chatted- but I have a couple requests:

1) If I could talk a winery (or wineries, should ambition drive me further) into sending us a sample bottles for a tasting, would that be kosher with Snooth? (I'm referring specifically in this case to the Chateau O'Brien Limited Reserve Tannat, from VA, that was recommended to me by VA Tech's own Dr. Tony Wolf, head of Viticulture for VA Tech)...?

2) If kosher; and since VA wineries can't ship to Jersey, I would need a shipping address to the Snooth offices in New York. I've forgotten where you guys moved to and was hoping you could provide it- either for the purposes of a receiving address, or just so I can stop by to swirl and sip on one of these evenings.

Hope all is well & look forward to hearing from you.

"Hi there: Nice work on the Chateau O'Brien material. I just got a recommendation from Dr. Tony Wolf (Director and Professor of Viticulture at VA Tech) concerning Chateau O'Brien's Tannat, and posted a quick note about it at this thread:

Have you ever tried it? Color me intrigued."

Clos des los Siete refers to the seven owners who joint-own the Mendoza (or just south of), Argentina operation. Here’s a GREAT read about the operation:...

"Hey! It's a pleasure to hear from you Gary- someone I feel to be a true pioneer in this industry.

My fuss about the heat was simply due to seeing the damage that a beautiful summer day can do to something exquisite. Quick story: Was working for an auction house in the city, and received an Imperial of 1990, DRC Montrachet. Yea. The rest of this gentleman's wine was in top shape- but this one bottle happened to come by a private courier who must not have understood the importance of climate control. So, an imperial worth approximately $18,000 or so showed up at our facility, nice, warm, toasty to the touch... and cloudy as could be.

I think you could understand my sensitivity to the whole "shipping wine in summer" thing ;). Great to hear from you, and keep up the great work. Just remember next time: at least Cleveland Browns stadium is called that, and is in Cleveland. Whereas, I believe, NY Jets stadium, for decades, was not called that, and was located, eh, in Jersey ;).

My best!"
