Much ado about nothing. Reductive notes of acetone and oxidation present in the sample I tasted. I've seen much better where it comes from!

One of the most hailed Romanian Merlots, from Dealu Mare - Vila Zorilor this wine is set as a reference point in this country's fine quality dry reds. Colour - bright red with ruby edges Body...

Yes, I like it a lot, but man, this one's even more expensive than the 2004 vintage that, in my opinion, is slightly better! Let me introduce you, though, to this wine, which is an assembly...

Yes, I like it a lot, but not for this kind of money! Let me introduce you, though, to this wine, which is not at all bad, on the contrary: It's an assembly of Feteasca Neagra (the most...

Now, this is the best Feteasca Neagra (the most notorious Romanian local grape variety) vinified dry, I have ever tasted! They should present this wine to sommelier schools for the perfect...

"Thank you!

The Nederburg Shiraz truly came as a great find in my country where South African wines are, sadly, poorly represented. The tasting notes I submitted to snooth regarding this wine came after my previous encounters with two great Syrahs from the New World: The Kilikanoon Covenant Syrah - Clare Valley, Australia 2004 (94 points RP) and the Canadian Okanagan Estate Syrah. I find the Nederburg Syrah a lovely wine at a very good price indeed. As a matter of pride, concerning this wine, I was delighted to find out that the cellar master from Nederburg is a countryman of mine, Razvan Macici, born and raised in Romania."

"Great note on the Nederburg now. I am very enthusiastic about South African Syrah, some or quite expensive but many represent some of the best deals in red wines on the market. thanks again for taking the time to post."

"You are most welcome, Sir.

This wine came as a very pleasant surprise, indeed, considering its price, that is very attractive for a genuine Pauillac. Though it is not a Grand cru or a Premiere Cru, this Colombier-Monpelou 2005 has the tipicity of a great Bordeaux at a fraction of the price! I tried it the day before yesterday (on the French National Day :), so the tasting notes are fresh and, I do hope, correct.
I recommend this wine as a good deal (name vs price vs quality) and a relevant experience of the Pauillac character of serious wines at what I consider a bargain price."
