AdamJefferson reviewed Nigl Gruner Veltliner Freiheit 2007. (3.5/5)
On Nov 18

A crisp, dry, wine, characteristic of Austrian table wine. An slightly fruity nose followed by a strong mineral flavor with some bite to it. I'd pair this with cheese--strong cheese, and...

Nigl Gruner Veltliner Freiheit 2007

Starting at $18.99 Snoothrank: 3.5/5
AdamJefferson reviewed Heinrich Blaufrankisch 2005. (3/5)
On Nov 18

Powerful mineral, earth and to a lesser extent, smoke and moss flavors. The fruit is present, but thin. Interesting. Would nicely accompany a meal of beef rouladen and dumplings. A fairly...

To catch a broad range of tastes, what about a Vouvray for a white and a nice light Beaujalais for a red? Neither is "complex" or particularly "interesting," but unless your...

AdamJefferson reviewed Monte Antico Toscana IGT 2006. (3.5/5)
On Nov 10

Downed my first ever glass of Monte Antico Toscana at the end of a day in the field, with a supper of linguini and steamed vegetables, tossed in butter, black pepper and gratings of a robust...

Monte Antico Toscana IGT 2006

Starting at $9.99 Snoothrank: 3.5/5
AdamJefferson replied to a topic in Snooth Talk: Merlot and Lamb.
On Nov 9

Just a suggestion on the lamb: less rub is more, and consider serving the sauce on the side. With a flavored rub and a sauce like you're proposing, things can get a little confusing. You...

AdamJefferson reviewed Farnetella "Lucilla" Toscana IGT 2006. (3/5)
On Nov 8

A perfectly good table wine, light with a pleasant carry on the palate. Not complex at all but enjoyable to drink just the same. Would go well with cold antipasti or a main course based around...

Farnetella "Lucilla" Toscana IGT 2006

Starting at $15.25 Snoothrank: 3/5
AdamJefferson reviewed Mazzoni Rosso Toscana 2006. (3.5/5)
On Nov 6

Mellow and nice, a good sipping wine softened and spiced by the merlot, given personality and length on the palate by the Sangiovese. Should age well. At this price, put away part of a case for...

Mazzoni Rosso Toscana 2006

Starting at $15.99 Snoothrank: 3/5

"Hi Adam,

We can only list wines that are available from retailers with an ecommerce site. If we have none in your area the best thing to do is to either send us the email addresses of your local stores so that we can add them to the list of sites we scrape for information or ask them to join Snooth, it's free, and have their inventory added to our database.

Thanks for the question."
