I got into wine about 50 years ago. Started with French wines and in the mid-seventies got into California wine. And now I am a fan of almost every popular wine region.

Added Sep 26 at 3:41pmSo fresh and elegant. Gorgeous red color. Not much sediment. Not much on the nose. Upon tasting I picked up dark fruits in the background. Tannins were still there but light to medium. The finish was medium. The freshness of this 11 year old wine was remarkable.

Mulderbosch Rose 2013
Added Jun 16, 2014 at 1:31pmSalmon color. Raspberry, some strawberry and a bit of watermelon on the nose. These fruits are way in the background when this wine hits the palate. Overall, a fairly dry rose with a short finish. Well made and perfect for summer indulgence. Enjoy drinking it alone or with light foods.
Added Oct 1, 2013 at 4:24pmThis is classic mountain (Howell Mt.) cabernet sauvignon. The color couldn't be any darker. Bouquet is of dark fruits of plum and cherry and a hint of damp earth. On the palate an explosion of dark fruits, more than I would expect from a mountain cab, along with an earthiness. Tannins are there but really not overpowering. The finish is fairly long. This wine is drinkable now and possibly for several more years.

Added Mar 26 at 7:31pmA perfect Valpolicella. Nice acidity with fairly light tannins. Went well with our pasta and meatballs and sausage. My home made pasta sauce was perfect for this wine. This wine can probably last for several more years.

Uvaggio Rosato 2014
Added Jun 16, 2015 at 4:25pmRefreshing and slightly dry. This is how I like "ROSE". Uvaggio is a California wine and does not use Italian grapes. How can it be called ROSATO?
