Added Jan 14, 2011 at 3:49pmnot sure if i have the wrong wine but i thought this one was way too dry. got it in china so i paid well over what it was worth. maybe i'll buy it again when i'm in the states. Until then...
Added Dec 30, 2010 at 9:34ama little dry but this is something that has come to be expected from a shiraz w/in this price range for me. not heavy on the wine tasting experience but i've become fond of the woodsy taste so i would have to refute Gregory's review. i like the woodsy taste. although i paid 3x as much in china for read more...this bottle i think this would be pretty good for a $12 bottle

Added Jan 14, 2011 at 3:32pmwell balanced with a hint of spice. has a distinct south american spice flavor with just enough sweetness and isn't dry. Not really worth $45.00 as posted but this was the price in China. China has a significantly high import tax on wine and alcoholic beverages so i'm not sure of the actual price in the states.

Added Jan 13, 2011 at 10:07amgot this one for 218 yen in china. not quite worth this much since china has such a high import tax on wine. it wasn't bad, i wouldn't pay more than $10 dollars for this one; however i wouln't pay that much for it twice.

Added Jan 13, 2011 at 9:24amnot really into french wine. i've tasted a few but none more expensive than maybe $20. I thought this one was too expensive for the lack in enjoyment i got out of drinking it.

Added Mar 3, 2010 at 4:25pmi didn't like the spicy auroma and taste. It wasn't bad, i just prefer a milder zin with more fruity smells, slightly sweeter tastes up front and leaving you with a more sweet to tart fruit flavor in your mouth. In my opinion the addition of petite syrah to this varietal displeased me the most. not a bad wine and i can see people liking it but to me it's just ok.

Added Jul 17, 2010 at 11:27pmDon't like many french wines but this one was really good. i paid 680 chinese yuan at a kareoke tv place so i'm sure it's actually cheaper than that and imported wines are really expensive here so i'm sure it's a somewhat decent price and well worth the price in the u.s. or europe.

Great Wall Dry 1993
Added Jul 6, 2010 at 11:50pmMuch Better than the 2006 I've tried. bottle says aged 8 years in oak barrel but i couldn't taste any oak. still too peppery and there's some taste i can't put my finger on. i've figured out that this flavor is that of chinese sake. pretty smooth but i'm just not that big of a cab fan in the first place and i don't really like the special chinese flavor(whatever it is). i've tried much cheaper zins that would put this cab to shame. i've figured out that this flavor is that of chinese sake.

Added Jul 9, 2010 at 1:44amwine fell from the sides of the inside of the glass like water. maybe it needs to be aged a little more. had a strong chinese rice liquor taste to it. this taste was too overpowering and didn't appeal to my pallate.

Average Price: $9.99
Added Jul 9, 2010 at 2:29amgood for the price. procrastinated on the review so i can't remember the details. i just know that i liked it. read some reviews and i'm too new to know how to tell if the wine is too young or not. i wish i had a cellar to store a few bottles of this and see how good it tastes later.

Added Jul 9, 2010 at 2:21amcab isn't my fav veriatal but this one was delicious. certainly beats out other cabs at the same price range. smooth and flavorfull. i thought it had a slight oak auroma but i'm a newbie. not too peppery. i certainly love delicato's knarly head and knarlier head labels.
