    wreckingball's Review:

Nearly opaque, deep purple in color. Still young and a bit closed. Needs a few more years to evolve. Earthy, forest floor nose with hints of mint and oregano. Darker fruit flavors that finishes with spicy white pepper. Hang on to your bottles for a while longer, this will get better.

    wreckingball's Review:

A very interesting wine. It somehow straddles two styles of chardonnay. On one hand, it's a rich, dense wine with stone fruits and a creamy, smokey finish. On the other hand, it retains a wonderful, bright, crisp, character with nice acidity. Tremendous complexity.

    wreckingball's Review:

Dark ruby, nearly opaque in color. Nice, classic pinot nose, but no pinot funk. Rich, extracted style but has overall balance. Dark berry and cherry with some interesting mineral and anise components. Some hints of spice and finishes with a little bit of heat. Long, sustained finish. Still has some younger tannins and could stand a few more years in bottle. On the whole, a very good wine. Too bad this wines seems to get more expensive every year!

    wreckingball's Review:

Another strong vintage for this wine. This is one of Tablas' most consistent wines. Rousanne, Grenache Blanc, and Picpoul Blanc. Strongly flavored by the Rousanne. Bright, mineral tones with lemon, tropical fruit, and honey. A wonderful wine.

Sophisticated, rich style of chardonnay. Amber color--dark for a chard. Notes of caramel, toffee, and apple. Whiff of alcohol on the nose, but doesn't overwhelm the overall experience.

A rich, extracted pinot that achieves elegance and balance. Bright red cherry nose with a hint of cardamon and five spice. Fine, integrated tannins. Finishes with a slight bit of heat. Overall, a wonderful pinot!

Medium-body, complex, and well-integrated. Combines soft cherry, dried cranberry with a brambly, earthy undertone. Finish with a good bit of acid. Well balanced. Good food wine.

  • wreckingball's Review:

Will be a much better wine with another few years of bottle age. Classic pinot cherry scents on the nose. Strong oak finish that tends to overshadow the more subtle cinnamon and cherry flavors.
