    wineluv's Review:

Opens up with riped red fruits with defined oak and some spicies. Doesn't quite have enough earthiness and minerality on the palate as I expect from an 8yr-old bottle of "tempranillo."

    wineluv's Review:

Lots of coffee, tobacco, smoke and prune on the nose. Midium tannins with again lots of coffee on the palate. Not enough sweet spices and red fruits flavors that I expect from Chateauneuf. The price says it all unfortunately,,

Region is actually Nahe in Germany, not California. The wine has flavors of green fruits and stone fruits with big minerality comes through the nose. With a high level of acidity, this wine will age nicely for another 5-7yrs.

  • wineluv's Review:

Made from Bordeaux varietals plus Syrah - therefor dark purple with slightly higher alcohol level than those "Meritage" from Bordeaux. Full body wine with dark fruits and firm tannins.

    wineluv's Review:

The actual bottle I tried was "Terroir", Gouron's reserve bottling. Dark purple wine come from 50 year old vines has nose of black fruits and black olive with well balanced oak and acidity. Since it's a bit tannic, I wonder if it'll hit its best in a couple of years,,

    wineluv's Review:

Ok, so this is a pruny wine some people are not big fan of,, but this is a special wine for me. It's an unique wine with big grapy, raisiny, dried fruits flavors mixed with 18% alcohol yet stays dry unlike port. If you like port, you might be interested in this one.

    wineluv's Review:

It's a good, easy-to-drink great Bordeaux substitute,, but I still taste the same vanilla coke as many other new world wines. It's a good wine, I would buy a Canon from the same vintage for a similar price instead though.

    wineluv's Review:

Mosel Riesling Kabinett for $7.00!!?? I would buy a case for this price and the quality!!! A typical Kabinett with fresh grape and apple with a high level of acidity balancing with some sugar. Very tasty wine for $7!!

  • wineluv's Review:

It is a good "Crianza." It's better than some of the new world reds cost $15 definitely. Red fruits dominant, very typical young tempranillo.
