Tried this wine in Feb 2012 straight after opening, and then two days later. Unfortunately, our bottle had some cork to it, which tainted the nose as well as the palate. Behind the musty cork smell, there were some wonderful honey notes, and some hints of yellow fruit. Smell got better after two days. The taste was a little disappointing, and not just because of the slight cork distaste. It seems like the wine had aged rather fast, there were no more hints of youthfulness. It also lacked some depth in the finish. Without the cork, an ok wine. But I am used to much better from Dr. Hermann.

Quite the positive surprise: Picked this wine up, I think at Trader Joe's, a couple of weeks back. It is a very fine, delicate German riesling. In the nose quite some vanilla, strawberries and pineapple. The typical 2010 acidity is beautifully balanced in this QbA and makes for an interesting mix. At 10% vol. it is slightly off-dry, with tons of fruit. Finish a bit flat. I really like this wine.

I had the 2010 vintage, and I was positively surprised. I am not much of a pinot grigio fan, but this was had a beautiful nose of crisp apples and some peach. The taste was a bit of a let down, but I liked the acidic punch I got towards the end. The finish was rather weak. All in all, a decent pinot grigio.

Dark red in color, this is a fine embodiment of a garnacha. The nose is not overly impressive, but also not off putting. The taste is strong, balanced and smooth. It really is a pleasure drinking this. An easy, good wine, especially for that price.

Tried the bottle after leaving it open for a good hour. The nose was rather classic, with fruity notes. The taste however was pungently green, with strong acidic tones. It was also too watery for a chianti. All in all disappointing.

A dull wine, uninspired and uninspiring. It does not have even faint memories of a German riesling. It is light-bodied, but the flavours are not there. This should not sell for more than $4 a bottle.

Colors very light red, almost a tad too watery. Nose of strawberry, other red fruits. Taste is pleasant. Winemaker withstood the California temptation to overwood the wine. No strong tannins. Finish a bit short. A nice wine all in all, drink young.

Out of the Epicuro wines, this seems to be the most acidic, tasting slightly off. The first nose is cherry, and it has a nice peppery finish to it. Still a decent enough wine which offers enough value for its price.

A fine California CabSav: Dark fruits on palate, hints of jam. The finish is smooth, with just the right amount of tannins to keep it lingering on my tongue. Medium-bodied.

A rather dull wine from Burgundy. It did not have the fruit I would expect from a beaujolais wine. It felt flat.
