Not a very good North Carolina cab. A bit musty and flat and not much of anything else. Past its prime.

Big, bold Rosenblum syrah. Jammy with loads of dark fruit, prune, dark plum and a bit of smoke and tar. This has a huge nose, moderate to big tannins and a long finish.

Not bad, not great Sonoma Chardonnay produced by a Huntersville, NC resident. Somewhat one dimensional, a bit thin, not oaky or buttery with a bit of acidity but slightly metallic on the back end.

This is a surprisingly good Riesling from Yadkin Valley, North Carolina. Fairly light, dry and crisp with a nice touch of tartness. We found Dobbins Creek winery along with two others on a weekend trip and we were very impressed.

Absolutely fantastic red burgundy from Latour. Bright red cherry, great balance with mouth watering acidity and a really nice finish. Crisp and clean and leaving you wanting to take another sip.

Not a bad sonoma chardonnay but nothing exciting. A bit oaked with ripe stone fruit. More on the richer side as opposed to being citrus or mineral driven.

This is a really nice red blend from Mendocino. Mainly zin with some syrah and pinot. This wine is very well balanced with medium tannins, dark red cherry, a touch of smoke and a good bit of acidity on the back end.

Absolutely fantastic Sonoma Cab. Bright red and black cherries, great balance, nice acidity with medium smooth tannins and great texture. This wine can handle spicy dishes, big meat or more subtle (but substantial) fare. Hard to beat at any price point.

Excellent Paso Cab. Black cherry, silky tannins, dark fruit and a really nice finish. Not overly complex but a really nice expression of the central coast.

Superb 1er cru from Puligny-Montrachet. Lemon cream pie with a lemon chaser. Flinty, lean and crisp. Excellent balance, long finish, we're turning into Francophiles.
