Added Nov 13, 2015 at 7:18pm2011 vintage. Extremely enjoyable Chehalem Mtns. Oregon pinot. Cherry cola and black cherry on the nose. More of the cherry cola on the tongue with some cranberry and fresh rhubarb. There are fairly well resolved tannins, mouth watering acidity and a medium finish.

Added Nov 11, 2015 at 7:33pmNice Italian red made from the Albarossa grape (cross between Nebbiolo di Dronero – or Chatus – and Barbera). Loads of ripe dark fruit on the nose with a hint of licorice and shoe polish. On the palate is ripe blackberry, blueberry pie, a touch of smoke, medium grained tannins, medium acidity and a somewhat long finish. This is opening up nicely with some air time, may need a few more years laying down.

Added Nov 10, 2015 at 6:34pmFor a Virginia cab franc, this is not bad. Not much on the nose, maybe a hint of red cherry. On the palate a bit on dimensional but there is some slightly watered down ripe red cherry and a touch of strawberry. There is none of the mustiness a lot of VA cab francs have, light on the tannins, medium light on acid and a medium finish.

Added Nov 9, 2015 at 8:05pmNot bad but not great Albarino from Klinker Brick. Flavors of apricot, ripe pear and honeysuckle go along with medium acidity, slightly flabby, viscuous texture (a touch of residual sugar?) and a medium short finish.

Added Nov 3, 2015 at 8:16pmVery enjoyable pinot blanc from Mendocino. There's a bit of a creamy taste and texture that makes this stand out from most other pinot blancs that I've had. Plenty of lemon pith, a bit of white grapefruit, with a hint of honeysuckle. There's a nice bit of medium acidity and a medium finish.

Added Nov 2, 2015 at 6:42pmBig, fruity, jammy and spice Aussie grenache. Loads of dark fruit, ripe plum, prune and crushed black cherry. There's some nice spicey white pepper, a hint of vanilla, fairly resolved but still noticeable tannins, medium acidity and a long finish. There's plenty going on here but with an overall balance that has this drinking very well now and should hold for quite a while longer.

Added Oct 31, 2015 at 6:00pmExcellent Muscadet, the back label says these grapes come from 18 acres of vines that average over 50 yrs of age in Gras Moutons. Light yellow in color, there's a bit of aroma of lemon pith which may show better if we drank it a bit less cool. Nice lemon cream, a touch of white grapefuit, a hint of white pepper, lively acidity and a medium finish.

Added Oct 29, 2015 at 7:42pmBeautiful Chehalem Mtns. pinot. This just looks great in the glass, bright medium to light red with a slight bit of orange toward the edges. Not a lot of aromatics, but what is coming up is more on the dark fruit side, ripe black cherry, a hint of ripe banana and a touch of smoke. On the tongue is some red and but more black cherry, green tea, vibrant acidity, medium tannins and a fairly long finish. Really a fantastic OR pinot.
