This is a fairly big Adelaida pinot from Santa Lucia Highlands. The nose is fairly subdued but there are hints of dark berries, tar and a touch of smoke. On the palate is a burst of red and black cherry, ripe black plum, crisp acidity and mild, fine grained tannins. The finish has a touch of smoke on the back end and is medium long.

Fairly nice Sicilian red from the frappato grape. Light red in color with fresh raspberry and red cherry on the nose. A somewhat light body is supported with nice acidity and smooth tannins. There's mainly red and black cherry present with just a touch of mint tea on a medium length finish.

Just a fantastic Napa Sauv Blanc from Apsara. This is not about grapefruit but more subtle and balanced citrus and stone fruit. There's plenty of nice ripe white peach, green melon, a hint of lime, a touch of grassiness, medium acidity and a medium finish.

Really nice chard from Pouilly-Fuisse. On the nose there's citrus and lemon oil. The palate is young and fresh with lemon/lemon cream, some slight salinity, a touch of ripe green apple, medium acidity and a medium length finish.

Really nice Jurancon blend of Petite Manseng and Gros Manseng. On the nose there's notes of creamy lemon and a hint of almond. On the palate there is nice lemon pith, honey and a touch of almond. The acidity is nice but not overt and the finish is of medium length with just a slight hint of tannin.

Interesting Spanish red made from the Bobal grape. Not a whole lot of aroma on this. The palate is mainly ripe dark berries, ripe rhubarb, some earthiness, a bit of leather, grippy mouth drying tannins, medium acidity and a medium finish. Kind of reminds me of a medium to low priced Cali cab.

Fantastic Mendocino syrah from Bedrock. Still very young. There's dark berries on the nose and ripe blackberry, a bit of spice and pepper, nice acidity and a fairly long finish. The tannins are just a bit rustic and grippy but should mellow nicely with some age.

Fantastic CA chard! Opened this after receiving our allotment and was duly impressed. The nose was crisp and clean with notes of lemon. The palate was equally nice with lemon pith, a creamy lemon mouth feel, crisp acidity and a hint of salinity/minerality. Hard to believe this is a Central Coast white, it comes across more like a cool climate white.

Very nice, somewhat aged Napa syrah. Subtle nose of black cherry and black licorice. On the palate more of the licorice comes out with some earthiness, crisp acidity and muted dark fruit. The tannins are nicely integrated and fine grained and the finish is of medium length.

Pretty nice Santa Cruz pinot. Mostly ripe red and black cherry on the nose. The cherries come out on the palate as well as some rhubarb. The acidity is a bit restrained and there's a touch of baking spice on the backend. Tannins are fairly light and fine grained and the finish is of medium length.
