Vacheron Sancerre 2013Compare and Buy
Average Price: $35.00
Added Mar 11 at 5:17pmExtremely nice Sancerre (sauv blanc). Very well balanced with not too tart lemon and a hint of almond on the nose. There's some restrained grapefruit and lemon peel on the front end, and a little dose of salinity on the medium finish.

Added Mar 9 at 7:46pmFor under $10 this is a perfectly acceptable mid-week refresher. Not overly grapefruity but more on the lemon, lemon drop side of sauv blanc. Simple but refreshing with a short finish but decent enough acidity without any funky after taste.

Added Mar 8 at 6:40pmDecent Viognier from Russian River. Some nice floral and honeysuckle on the nose. More of the same on the palate as well as some creamy lemon pith, medium acidity and a medium finish.
Mar 5 at 6:52pm
Added Mar 5 at 6:52pmNot bad for North Carolina wine. Fairly simple with flavors of white peach and honey suckle. Medium acidity and a short finish. There's a bit of a metallic bite on the backend.

Added Mar 4 at 6:17pmNice and interesting Italian white made from the Falanghina grape. Bright, crisp, lemon peel/lemon drop (but not bitter), nice acidity and a medium finish. Not overly complex but interesting enough to keep your attention, definitely a food wine.

Added Mar 3 at 8:02pmNot bad but not great Sonoma Valley red blend by Gun Bun. On the nose there's a bit of a sharp blueberry note. The palate is a thin mix of blueberry, blackberry and some black cherry. The acidity is medium low and the finish is somewhat short.

Added Feb 26 at 5:35pmBeautiful Tablas Creek Vermentino from Paso. Really nice floral, honeysuckle nose. On the palate there's rich, creamy lemon, more honeysuckle, mouth watering acidity, a bit of salinity and a medium long finish. Extremely enjoyable and a real nice change of pace.

Added Feb 22 at 4:46pmExcellent albarino from Rias Baixas Spain. The nose is not overly aromatic but fairly citrusy. The palate is crisp, nicely acidic, with hints of lemon cream, orange peel, a touch of baking spice, and a medium finish.

Average Price: $9.99
Added Feb 20 at 7:13pmRather benign French white made from Colombard and Ugni Blanc. Somewhat New Zealand Sauv Blanc'ish, predominately white grapefruit with some green pear and a good hit of acid but not much else. Not very complex with a short finish.

Added Feb 16 at 6:09pmNot really diggin' this Virginia Pinot. Notes of cherry cough syrup, somewhat metallic on the back end with light to moderate acidity and (unfortunately) a medium to long finish.
