    ttutony's Review:

Served slightly chilled. Clear purple in the glass. Straight to the point Beaujolais Nouveau with cherry and berry flavors and the characteristic banana overtones. Bright acidity. Light body. This isn't an overly complex wine but in all fairness, it isn't supposed to be. Simple and enjoyable.

    ttutony's Review:

Transparent, bright purple-red in the glass. This wine is pretty simple and straightforward with notes of banana, cherries, and other red berries. Light-bodied with very bright acidity.

Tasted November 2009. Absolutely amazing. Nothing I write will really give justice to how good this wine was. Deep golden color. Rich, almost oily in texture with floral and honey notes. Just a tiny hint of the oil/petrol flavor that aged riesling is known for. Sweet but not the least bit cloying. Superb balance with acidity that lends just the right accent to the mouthfeel and flavors on the palate. Generous finish that goes on for well over a minute. This was a truly incredible wine that aged magnificently over the past 33 years.

  • ttutony's Review:

Powerful nose of cassis, blackberry, and other dark fruits with earth and oak notes as well. Medium-full body with acidity that is definitely there but not overstated. Supple berry and dark fruit flavors on the palate with just a hint of earthiness, a touch of oak, and a hint of vanilla as well. Good overall balance. Very finely textured tannins. The finish is lengthy and maintains a good balance, with maybe just a touch of alcohol. This wine still is a bit young and would probably benefit from more bottle aging. Still, this was a very enjoyable wine. Strong 4 out of 5.

Salmon colored in the glass. Nice notes of berry and citrus with a touch of minerality. Soft and well-balanced structure.

Mineral, biscuit, and toast on the nose with citrus joining in on the palate. Very fine mousse. There is crisp acidity on the front that gives way to a nice, dry finish. Pleasantly balanced. This was a very pleasing non-vintage brut champagne.

Fine bubbles. Bread on the nose with citrus and somewhat floral nuances. Potent acidity yet a nice smooth mouthfeel as well. Nice level of dryness. Lingering finish. This is a very fine cuvee.

I was excited to get to taste such a well-known champagne. Toasty bread and biscuit notes alongside citrus. Very concentrated flavors on the palate, I really liked the tight focus of flavors. Quite dry. Sharp, crisp acidity. I liked this wine quite a bit, though it does come with a hefty price.

    ttutony's Review:

Faint citrus notes but not a whole lot going on here otherwise. I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with the wine, per se, but nothing really jumped out at me either.

Soft, somewhat full bodied wine with notes of peach, vanilla, tropical fruit, and oak.
