Picked up this wine last April at the estate of Dr Wagner's descendants in beautiful Saarburg. Quite pale wine, with interesting vegetable smells, not entirely inviting on the first whiff. Very crisp, steely, dry, but with the typical "sweetness" of Saar Rieslings that seems sweet, but isn't that at all on second thought. Definitely one of my favorite spatlese Rieslings!
