For $6.22/bottle, Sam's Club bought the entire Lot. You can buy it even if you don't have a Sam's card. Go to membership services and you can buy only alcohol at Sam's without a membership. It is tasting so good. Surely not at $6-buck wine. This wine is delicious now. I can't believe the quality for so little the price. Nice big fruit, cherry, spice, soft finish. Great with ahi tuna, pizza, anything. Medium body, nice round finish. More fruit and spice shows the longer you linger over your meal. This wine is a 99-point wine in the 6- buck range. Go buy a case because it won't be around very long. Not at that price.

I love S.A. blends, this cab/shiraz opened up VERY nicely the 2nd day. It was very smooth. Big fruit, cherry aromas, anise, spicey. Medium finish, soft tannins. Great sipping wine as well with grilled meats and grilled root vegetables.

I agree with the last review. I had a glass' worth left the next day. It is better the 2nd day. Enjoy this wine in the next 2-5 years. The quality and tannins are there for aging. It is a big wine and will hold up to a big steak. Long spice finish. Fruit will show more after aging.

Better grab this one while you can. For $17.99 at Costco, this Stag Leap District Cab is phenomenal for the price. Full bodied and ready to drink even though it is 2006, perfect tannins, long finish. Decant for one hour to really open it up. This is premium Napa wine worth $100/bottle. It is yummy. I'm going to buy a case for the holidays which are just around the corner. Sip by itself or wonderful with grilled meats.

Decero Malbec 2006

Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina is a great food pairing wine. The Decero vineyards are planted in the highest region,Agrelo, 3500 ft. in Mendoza at the Andes foothills. The wines are all single vineyards. Every process is meticulously done by hand. The Malbec is from the Romolinos Vineyard where tiny whirlwinds dance along the vineyard rows, hence the name.

From McLaren Vale, Australia, this downunder wine is yummy, fresh fruit forward on the palate, spicey yet velvety finish. Pairs well with a variety of wild meats such as venison or kangaroo. But also would do well with a porcini mushroom dish or even chopped ahi tuna, with chopped walnuts, drizzle chinese hot oil on top.

The is a small production winery in the Shenandoah Valley, Sierra Foothills area in Northern California. This Barbera Rosato is a 3-time gold medal winner. Nice and dry with flavors of cranberry and raspberry and clean finish. Drink by itself or with grilled salmon.

I so enjoyed this wine - make sure it's the Riserva. Salice Salentino is the DOC and the wine is made from Negroamaro. A dark garnet color, nice berry fruit and long finish. We were lucky to see the 2002 on an Italian restaurant menu. We choose the pasta dish with a slightly creamy tomato sauce with ground lamb. Delicioso!

Grenche Blanc and Viognier is one of my favorite white wine blends. It certainly rounds out both varietals to make a refreshing yet complex wine. And, Santa Barbara County produces excellent white wines. Peach, dried peach, apricot, dried apricot, honeysuckle, orange blossom, spiced orange, vanilla, oak , honey, mineral are all found in this delicate blend.

Lot 130 2007 Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County - another great Cameron Hughes premium wine at under $14 bucks. Very nice! Pineapple and honeyed nose, creamy but yet nice acids with citrus flavors, grapefruit on the palate - not over oaked, long finish. Well-balanced. Deliciously paired with BBQ chicken basted with apricot-chipotle sauce. May be able to find Lot 130 at Costco for less.http://www.chwine.com/wine/lot/130/
