    thefallingman's Review:

This wine started off badly: harsh with too much alcohol. However, a little breathing and it opened up very nicely. Earthy, spicy, and a little oakey with some blackberry behind it. I'll definitely snag up a few more bottles.

Excellent crisp green fruits. On the dry side with lovely color and nose. Can be enjoyed alone or with seafood.

    thefallingman's Review:

Dark purple wine with few legs, but the ones that it has are long, lean, and fast. A good deep wine with an earthy, chocolaty nose. Lots of dark fruits, and spice on the tongue with a long, dark cocoa finish. Very well balanced.

Clear, light-colored wine. It starts off a little spicy and hot but opens up with a little air into a classic CDP grenache character. Jammy, fruity, with maybe a hint of licorice. Soft grape on the nose. Would go well with a game fish like tuna.

Don't let the funky label and screwcap fool you: this is serious wine. A deep, almost inky red color. The nose is floral and grape and quite pronounced. Great flavors of tannin currant/cassis, dark cherry, and tart apple. Really good tannins balanced with acid. An excellent complement to a bison burger with sauteed asparagus and Belgian-style fries.

    thefallingman's Review:

A lighter red wine. Herbs and lighter fruits both on the nose and on the tongue. I really like the tannin/acid interplay. I wouldn't drink it over five years old. Don't care much for the wax seal.

  • thefallingman's Review:

A nice, unassuming wine meant for easy drinking. Soft tannins with some bright fruit and a note of either coffee or dark chocolate (I haven't really decided). Drink with a good cheese like Stilton or Roquefort.

  • thefallingman's Review:

Delicious wine full of heavy, dark fruits, smoke and spice. Some dark cherry, blackberry, and plum with a touch of pepper. Near perfect tannins and a lingering finish. Drink now or cellar: either way it's a winner.
