    a classic cotes du rhone, deep red fruits, meaty, smoky, spicy, a *tad* alcoholic (14.5%? prolly closer to 15%, though i don't know for sure...)it has an almost fiery depth to it, and a terrific finish that is full of demure fruit. great wine, if you can get past it's alcohol.

    two things are going for this wine: one it's under ten dollars, and two, it absolutely murders in this price range. you don't even have to mention it's pedigree.gorgeous purple color, huge amount of black cherry, blackberry, and a nice spicy finish. you'll be hard pressed to find a better wine this cheap.

    cherry with a touch of vanilla on the nose. some jam, and lots of cherry and red fruits, rather lengthy finish. a little oakier than i would like. score one for this nocal wine.
