tempest's Review:

Cassis, cedar, cigar box & slight vanilla on the nose. Medium bodied but mouthfull once settled and tannins are in good balance, short to medium finish on the palate. Develops into sweet spice, dark chocolate, plum and toffee. Multi-layered and elegant once it settles down. Make sure you air at least for an hour before drinking to fully enjoy this. (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan)

tempest's Review:

Deep red. Cassis, tinge of black cherry, cedar and cigar box on the nose. Fine tannins, slight spiciness but rather balance and between medium to full bodied. Somehow there is an overpowering earthiness that led to some bitterness. I think cellaring is required for at least 5 - 10 years before drinking. 2006 is a good year for Coonawarra and this wine could have been better. SGD$38

Elusive with notes of blackcurrent, vanilla, cedar and hint of mint chocolate on the nose. Very fine tannins, medium bodied in the beginning and medium finish. The wine went 'absent' for a moment as it evolves and settles with sweet plum. Easy to drink once it settles but too soft for me.
