Visually this wine is a deep purple with thin legs on the glass.The nose starts as a deep peppery berry scent finishing with a sharp but light tingle.The taste is quite good, very mildly dry with flavoring of black currant, pepper, and an extremely mild butter flavor that sits on the tip of the tongue.

A delicious wine. Excellent spice to begin, with a very nice continual tingle on the tongue. After several days the cherry finish mellowed nicely. I agree with earlier reviews that it has a softly tannic feel and think that after a few days to air it develops a nice long light cherry finish.

I just poured my first glass of this bottle and the initial scent is of pepper and blackberry. I can taste the pepper right off the bat, but this is a bit thin. I don't get much flavor at all. It was much better at the winery, so I think I'll give it a day or two to liven up and try again.

I'm a fan! I just finished the bottle after a few days in a capped decanter and this red tastes of pepper, plum, and a light berry flavor I can't describe. Others say cherry but I don't get that, at least not now. Spending 3 days in my decanter did pretty decent things to it. It's got a nice upfront tang and has a long mellow finish. This is one I would buy again.
