For an everyday wine I enjoyed this. It was a little clumsy on the palate, but I enjoyed it paired with pasta and clams. The fruit in the front is light crisp apple and pear tree fruit. There is just a hint of oak to remind you that it is a chardonnay. The finish is short but good.

We had this at a Tuscan Restaurant in Kumamoto, Japan. It paired with our steak and gnocchi perfectly. Dark cherry fruit wrapped up in coffee aromas and spicy tannins with a long finish.

Fontanafredda Nebbiolo 'Barolo' Serralunga d'Alba Rosso DOCG Rotwein Fontanafredda Italien Piemont 2003
The nose was short and a bit stifled. The fruit was shallow in the front and the tannins were intense. It probably could have used a few more years aging and a good food pairing.
