This wine epitomizes cab drinking from the west coast for me. Columbia Valley really gets my attention when a wine is well cultivated and blended with a little Franc or Petite Syrah on the finish. It always gives me that oaky, cellery seed flavor at first which I love and a nice splash of dark fruit up front. Then a nice round buttery middle and a trailing some what short finish. I love Bordeaux style wines for their complexities and depth and I love west coast Wash.,Ore. wines for their up front fruit and oak

This wine is an excellent buy. It drinks well right out of the bottle and really opens up after an hour. Great fruit up front for a Bordeaux under $30. Well balanced tannins and very calm finish though not very long. I personally like a more fruity cab style Bordeaux and this one fits nicely
