    steveca's Review:

It's been a long time since I've been this enthusiastic about a white wine, but this Sauvignon Blanc carries such a super balance of herb and citrus, acidity and understated sweetness, minerals and flowers...why pay for California Chardonnay when this NZ will rock your summer evening!

I've had 3 bottles of this in the last year and have been very impressed each time. Super smooth with chocolate notes and expressive berry with a touch of jam. Feels like a superb Australian Shiraz, but love that it is a Spanish Garnacha. Wow'ed many friends at a neighbor's party and, by request, went back home for another bottle!

    steveca's Review:

Pleasantly surprised by this velvety, jammy, intense berry filled wine because the finish had an extra quality of mint? lavender? cloves? something in the floral garden spice flavor chest. Good value under $20.

very silky texture, nice balance of sugars/acids/tannins with traditional cab flavors of currant, berries, with a nice oaky smokiness on the finish.

Opened one in Feb. 2009, and it has aged superbly. The spice is subdued compared to a few years ago, but the velvety smooth richness and fruit still come through. Ready to drink up now! This was probably the best GSM of the '97-'01 years.

    steveca's Review:

Extremely complex and subtle Zinfandel that exhibits up front strawberry and currant flavors with a fine balance of sugars/acids/tannins and spice box in the finish. The nose has a minty characteristic among the berry aromas. I was sorry to see the last drop come out of this bottle! Great value under $40 and reasonably priced above that.

    steveca's Review:

Opened this one up for New Year's Eve with few choice friends. Veuve non-vintage is my favorite "every day" wine and there are a few taste notes that are similar (almonds/nuts, balance of citrus and herbs), but the vintage Grande Dame had a far greater richness and density in the mouth feel, less abruptness with the acidity, and greater complexity. I was sorry to see the last drop poured!
