Added Oct 13, 2012 at 1:11amNice wine GSM blend from Amador. Strong initial berry blast from Grenache with bold syrah undertones and a mourvedre tannin grip that holds it together nicely. Midpalate is smooth and dusky with a bit of spicey note to finish.

Added Jun 7, 2012 at 2:23pmVery appealing wine and good QPR from a good year in CA (2007). Typical cab profile of currants and dark berry with some oaky vanilla notes. Not hugely complex, and a bit too sweet to pair with many foods, but I enjoyed it by itself.

Added Jun 2, 2012 at 7:30pmFlavorful Spanish blend with a full bodied opening of berries and fig with a mouthfilling jammyness. Tannins are mostly integrated with just a bit of a bite on the finish. Great value from a not-so well known area of Spain. Have tried the 2008 and enjoyed that even more.

Added Feb 17, 2012 at 4:44pmBoysenberry, Blueberry, chocolate and some extracted jammy flavors with with a modicum of acidity for balance. Easy drinking and pleasant mouthfeel without much tannins. Not a very long finish but inital flavors are rich, sweet and appealing.

Added Feb 8, 2012 at 10:34pmOne of the best Priorat's I've had for under $50. Smooth, rich, textured, with minerals, spices, fruit and leather. This can go another 10 years, but I don't think my last bottle will stay unopened for that long!

Added Sep 1, 2011 at 11:35amVery nice elements of dark berries and vanilla with a medium body and a rich mouth feel. Tannins provide some structure and good acids keep it from feeling mushy. Less of the thin cherry common with Sangiovese, more of the brambly plum that reminds me of some Zins. We ordered this and a Super Tuscan at a group dinner and went back for 3 more of these!

Added Jul 16, 2011 at 8:30pmNice blackberry notes, not heavy or over-extracted, balanced, sweet on the finish, not as much white pepper as most Zins. Very pleasing and great value around $20. Drink within the next two years (by 2013).

Added Feb 5, 2011 at 12:13amThis wine really surprised me as I'm not typically a fan of Aussie Cabernet. Bursts of blueberry and earthy saddle leather on the tongue and hints of blackberry and eucalyptus on the nose. There's a mature oak sensibility that provides structure throughout. Very nice!
