Added Nov 12, 2011 at 4:01pmWe opened this wine to have with locally farmed beef (rib eyes!) - it was so good - deep red almost black color and really spicy on the nose. The bottle went much too quickly.

Added Nov 11, 2011 at 6:23pmVery aromatic - a little on the jammy side. We had it at a Pig 'n Pinot tailgate. Worked great with the hickory smoked pork shoulder.

Added Aug 4, 2011 at 8:23pmWe opened a bottle of this to pair with a whole red snapper stuffed with herbs that I put on the grill. This wine was extremely food friendly and tasted great with the sauteed broccolini, squash, and mushroom mix I paired it with...I paid $32 for it - which I think was not bad. It has an amazing nose feel that draws one in...on our next trip to Oregon - I definitely want to check out Bethel Heights. So if you see it - give it a try...

Added Jul 10, 2011 at 11:29amThis wine was so elegant - we enjoyed it immensely. At first we could smell the tobacco and leather and as it opened up we could detect some crushed stone with dark fruit. We paired it with buttermilk fried chicken breasts, and blackeyed peas with pork. This would be a treat anytime. Highly recommend it.

Added Jul 7, 2011 at 8:13pmI tried this last night on its own and it was quite nice. Tonight I had copper river salmon over a salad dressed with garlic tahini dressing and decided to try it and felt it was better tonight. Very food friendly, with alot of ripe fruit on the nose.

Added Mar 19, 2011 at 12:14pmWe found it to be very elegant without much tannins. As it opened up it seemed to get a bit more complex. We paired it with a panko crusted flounder and some salmon sashimi - it was very food friendly.
