Yum. Yum. Why does he champagne style I prefer. Full-bodied, yeasty and toasty and screaming of baked lemon goods. I much prefer this to the lighter, more floral Champagnes out there.

It is expensive, but it is breathtaking. I am not a huge fan of this winery, but this wine really blew me away. Lots of ripe fruit, chocolate notes, and smooth velvety tannins that glide across the tongue. The finish is pure bliss. This wine was a hit at my Seder table!

December 2007
Deep, dark and purple in color. Cassis, chocolate, coffee, and a hint of violets on the nose. Full-bodied, with vanilla, toffee, and chocolate flavors dominating the flavor profile. Finish is elegant and delightful.

Ella Valley Vineyard 2003
This is a very earthy Cabernet Sauvignon. Leather, mushrooms, tea, and peppery spice are all expressed on the palate. The finish reveals the ripe tannins of the wine.

Very light red wine with blood colored undertones. Weak nose with pepper, spice, and grass. On the palate it is grassy with very little fruit and a gasoline like taste. Very simple and uninteresting wine.

Pale almost white in color. Very herbal and grassy on the nose. Tastes like a freshly mowed lawn in the midst of summer. My favorite of the Beckett's Flat line-up. Great summery refresher.

Clear, pale yellow color with citrus and vanilla on the nose. Very yeasty and lemony on the palate. The finish is a little weak and uniform. Drink now.

Touch of pepper and cloves, lightly floral with medium potency. Light bodied and delicate on the palate with subtle flavorings. Lingering finish. I expected a little more from this bottle. It did not pack the punch of many other Alsatian Gewurzs.

Cannonball Cabernet 2005
In the words of the eminent cultural icon Borat, I have to say "wa wa we wa"! Slam dunk for this delicious Cabernet from an up and coming new Cali winery. Lots of soft plummy fruit on the nose, jammy berries and spice on the palate, and a finish that is pure tannin ( a touch heavy on the oak). Clearly still young, the wine's solid structure indicates that it will only develop and improve over the next few years. I didn't even known I could still find good Cabernet Sauvignon from Cali for under $20.
