Added Apr 30, 2011 at 11:28pmA very strong full fruit Malbec. Have it with sharp cheese or a full course dinner. Nothing subtle about this wine. It has a full flavor profile with no rough edges. I would recommend it.

Added Apr 30, 2011 at 11:18pmBought a case and have enjoyed it. As Rioja this presents a tad on the lighter/sweeter side. It has a an interesting after note which is earthier. This is not a wine for the general wine drinker. It is one that a regular Rioja drinker will enjoy. Crisper than a Malbec, sharper and dryer than a Pinot or Syrah.

Palestra Douro Red 2008
Added Apr 30, 2011 at 11:12pmThis is a classic Doura. Dry and crisp its a Red that can hold its own with beef and lasagne. It is not a fruity mellow wine. Its not meant to be. It provides the classic taste associate with Clarets of the past. It does not have the back taste of a Chaiti.

Added Apr 30, 2011 at 11:07pmSometimes, if you drink wine on regular basis and there are several wine drinkers in the house, you need a wine like this. I get this wine by the case for about $5.49 a bottle. It presents everything one expects in a Cab. For the price it does very in consistency and can be bruised with mishandling. On the whole its a solid wine at an awesome price.

Added Apr 30, 2011 at 11:02pmThis is one of the many high quality Cabs out of Argentina. This has a smooth drink-ability. A general crowd pleaser it also has a good complexity for the more sophisticated drinker.

Added Apr 30, 2011 at 10:57pmThis is a very strong fruit based Pinot Noir. Not as overwhelming as many of the Californian Pinots. There is no after taste and even hints at a more complex orgin in the mouth. I serve this to my wifes friends mostly. For the more serious wine drinker, if you like a more earthy cab for instance then this may not be the drink for you. If you like the California Pinots but want something more sophisticated --then thumbs up on this one.

Added Apr 30, 2011 at 10:48pmThis is a very smooth, even mild tasting Syrah with Malbec undertones. I much prefer this wine over the fruitier Pinot Noirs and serve it to many guest successfully. Several people have commented on its drink-ability. I think this because it hits a successful middle ground --not overly round like a Syrah and not the boldness of a Malbec. This wine is not very complex in its tasting, more of a everyday drinker, not intruding in the meal as a main event. I have had many bottles and they are extremely consistent. PLeasant.
