A lot of candied fruit covering up a lot of tannin. Good with beef. An in your face wine. A little softer tannins and less overripe fruit would be more to my taste.

How confusing. Snooth sent me to the reserve. But the wine I just reviewed was not the reserve, it was the regular bottling. CA wines are so confusing!

When first opened, this revealed a beautiful earthy nose, followed by coffee, cedar, lead pencil and tobacco. This is not a Pauillac? Sweet flavors with good, sweet tannins in the background. Wth time revealed fresh mint in the nose, which reminds me of Leoville las Cases. Well done, plenty of body, all components well integrated. Drinking nicely now, will hold five years. Wonderful with beef steak.

At first I did not like this. Made in an oaky internmational style, almost dried out. I served it with a spicy vegetarian chilli which cut throught he oak and tannin. A little cherry fruit came through behind all the spiciness and tomato. Not bad match, but I don't think I would buy this wine again.

Beautiful salmon color. Nose of lychee and jackfruit with a little fresh cream. Tropical fruit flavors with a little macademia nuts. Good acidity in the finish. This wine needs a dessert of , tropical fruits with cream. 2003 vintage

Nose of fresh baked bread, floral and mint. Nose reminds me of Cuvee Emile (Trimbach). Flavors of sweet spicy fruit with mineral, yet totally dry. Nice acidity. Finest west coast Riesling I have had, with none of the heaviness found in many of the OR-WA Rieslings. Probably will drink well for another two years; no evidence of fading.

Nice wine with cherry and spice. Very sweet, spicy nose. Not complex, but lovely flavor and good body. Seems like this wine could go another couple of years. Served with pork and tomato and red pepper glaze, which seemed to match well. (4 views)

11.5% ABV. 3% residual sugar, 9.7% total acidity, (specs from winery). This wine was consumed earlier this year, at the same time as the Indian Wells (WA). Nose of apple and lemon, with a little character of late harvest Riesling. Flavors of sour apple, honey and corn syrup, but withoiut the extraction of a late harvest wine. A little sharp finish. Much darker (golden) than Indian Wells. This is wonderful if you like the strong sour apple flavor, which I do.

12% ABV. A little mineral and stone, with slight home perm and petrol in nose and a little spritz. Flavors of sea salt and grapefruit, with a slight metallic finish. Ver light color. More angular than a Moselle, and a little heavier on the palate. Definite WA state style. Very nice and one of the best examples of WA Riesling I've had.

Faint nose of fresh baked bread I find in so many NYS Rieslings with a little spic eon nose. Taste of green apple, with strong salty, spicy flavor, very flinty (mineral) with a little lime and grapefruit. Good acids cover the residual sugar, so this wine seems almost dry. This would work with a light seafood dish, or a light cheese. Just a little light to merit a 90 score. (2 views)
