    Hanzell Pinot Noir 2005

    Hanzell makes one of the best Pinot Noirs in all of California. The beautiful vineyards are perched high above Sonoma. Dark cherry, cigar tobacco, blackberry, earthy. Firm tannins yet lush. This one is made to age...though I could not wait and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Wine Spots Chardonnay. A really nice Monterey Chardonnay. Nice fruity nose. Crisp acidity and really fruity nose. Notes of zesty pineapple, citrus, apricot and peach flavors. Nice sweet touch of aok.It is NOT your typical California Chardonnay that is buttery/oaky.With the nice acidity and balance, it is good with food - we had it with halibut and light cream sauce.The label has a spot or drop of wine on a map of California.

    A nice Zinfandel for the price. Zinfandelic Amador Old Vine Zin shows really nice balance - not overripe or super jammy. It has nice density of fruit and subtle spicyness. The finish has nice complexity and length. The cool label is eye-catching - reminds me of sixties rock posters, hippie, flower power, etc

    A pretty Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh floral fruity nose. Nice citrus flavors. Good balance and nice acidity. Easy to drink more than one glass.

    Northern Rhone flavored fruit along with nice California intensity. A really lovely California Syrah. It has nice blue and red berry fruit, elegant entry, fine tannins, with the superb cool-climate fruit. Nice white pepper finish. I had it with a NY steak. Very nice.

    I really enjoyed this Italian Pinot Grigio from the Tre Venezie area of Italy. I like it better than a lot of the more expensive Pinot Grigios. It has a rich nose of tropical fruit. Nice rich mouthfeel. The wine is well balanced and has crisp acidity. Pleasant finish. Very solid wine for the price.

    The 2007 Rhones are great and this wine is no exception. Very good value. Nice red fruit and hint of spice. Good balance.They boldly put it into a PET bottle. Good for them.
