Added Jun 17, 2010 at 6:58pmJust tried the Zinfandelic Old Vine Amador Zinfandel 2006. I found it as nice as the 2005 if not better. Full bodied. Flavors of black cherry and raspberry with hints of earth and spice. An elegant Zin that works well with food. Not a fruit/wood bomb.

Added Jun 17, 2010 at 6:51pmHanzell Sonoma Chardonnay 2001 This is a beautiful wine that has aged graceful. Still plenty of fruit and nice acidity. Seems like it can age even longer. Flavors of carmelized apple and honey. Lush mouthful and wonderful length. I am sorry that I do not have another bottle left.

Added Oct 29, 2009 at 10:54pmHanzell makes one of the best Pinot Noirs in all of California. The beautiful vineyards are perched high above Sonoma. Dark cherry, cigar tobacco, blackberry, earthy. Firm tannins yet lush. This one is made to age...though I could not wait and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Added Oct 17, 2009 at 3:08pmWine Spots Chardonnay. A really nice Monterey Chardonnay. Nice fruity nose. Crisp acidity and really fruity nose. Notes of zesty pineapple, citrus, apricot and peach flavors. Nice sweet touch of aok. It is NOT your typical California Chardonnay that is buttery/oaky. With the nice acidity and balance, it is good with food - we had it with halibut and light cream sauce. The label has a spot or drop of wine on a map of California.
