Polly's 1/2016. A nice value, no great shakes, but a tasty wine that would not disappoint if you paid triple the price. But the good news it doesn't. Value, something large Calif. wine makers should start to understand.

Just not in my wheelhouse. Might use the other bottle in my possession to make Sangria this summer.

Purchased at Polly's Supermarket. Not as puzzling as the Pierre Andre pinot noir. It was gulpable with the pizza and cheesy bread from Marco's. Yes, a low brow Saturday night dinner with friends in sweat shirts. Nobody complained about this bottle.

Purchased at Polly's Supermarket. Win some, lose some with Pinot Noir. This grape either knocks your socks off, or you get this puzzled look on your face after tasting it. This bottle was the latter. Rating it in the lower 1/4 of French Burgundy's (redundant, I know) I have consumed. Sorry Pierre, I will not revisit any wine from Mr. Andre.

Wine Sellers of Saugatuck, 10/15. Should have been better. Not bad, but not even close to as good as I have had for the equivalent price point. Buying from a small retail wine shop you expect better than a supermarket. Not always do you get what you expect.

Used it in a recipe calling for dry red wine. Had a sip. It will like stay in the cupboard corked until I find another recipe calling for red wine. Why did I ever buy this?

Binny's 12/2014. First wine consumed in 2016 when it was to cold to go outside. Currently 18 degrees with 20+ mph winds. Means it's cold. I dislike wind chill numbers. They were invented just to make you feel more miserable. Weather drama, we have to much. Oh the wine, it kept me warm. I don't drink enough Chianti, or other Italian wine for that matter. I will work on this, I have time. I hope.

Binny's 8/2015. Was forced to use 8 oz. in a Braciole recipe, but downed the rest a couple days later. Really enjoyed it with my mom on her 90th birthday. Stood up to a stout homemade vegetable soup. I must like it, this is the third bottle I have purchased over the last five years. Usually I am a one and done with wine. So many wines, so little time.
