Fresh, crisp, crunch acidity. Crunchy, slight phenolic edge. Slight hint of minerality in finish. Savoury on finish.

Palate: strawberry, watermelon, lemon peel/citric. Fresh lemony acid - lemon peel. Rich, smooth mouthfeel. Complex. Savoury & refreshing. Good minerality.

Added May 13, 2012 at 10:51pmColour: inky, dark ruby red around edges. Nose: spice, cedar wood, red berries - raspberry & cassis, forest floor, earthy, barnyard hints, dried hay. Palate: red fruit - raspberry, cassis, cedar wood, dark - liquorice hints, earthy notes, hints of white pepper?, dried hay, straw. Firm, fine grained tannins. Structured. Fresh, lively citrussy acid. Still seems v. young. NB: Galah Wines are made by Stephen George owner/winemaker at well-regarded Adelaide Hills winery "Ashton Hills".

Palate: passionfruit, nectarine, peach, lemon, green apple, green capsicum, gooseberry. Good balance between sweet fruit and greener notes. Rich and full bodied. Good, fresh acidity. Some phenolics from skin contact.
