Hmm, none of mos71's wines meet those criteria (We are showing you all of mos71's wines instead)

April 2009
A bottle that seemed to benefit a bit from blending (compared to single vineyard Coleman 2001) but still clearly in decline, and clearly won't get any better with age. Tannins still somewhat intact, giving some structure but overall rather forgettable. A bit of a disappointment. Bought straight from producer ($20).

Very disappointing. Well past its prime, there was almost no fruit or tannins left. All that remained was a slightly sour taste. Very hot, alcoholic nose, unpleasantly so. Bought this straight from the producer ($20), so storage should not have been an issue (one presumes). It's possible this bottle was a bad example, but another 2001 from same producer was not much better, even after decanting for several hours.

November 2008Compare and Buy
$25.00
The wine had an inky, dark color, with much sediment. The nose is restrained at first opening (I did not decant) and on the second day displayed heavy notes of plum and raisin. The wine itself was fairly subdued, tart, rather tannic, in a style that I prefer but may not be to everyone's liking. I would call it rather French and the very antithesis of "easy drinking." The wine lacks a bit in structure at the moment, which, combined with its heavy tannins, suggest it requires more time to develop. It is not without character however, and at a sale price of $12.99 (plus additional 20% if bought within a mixed case; I live in Portland, OR) it's possible the wine could prove a compelling bargain, if it matches one's taste preference, of course.
