    monteberto's Review:

A wee bit pricier than its Pinot Blanc cousin from D & I, but even more flavor. I got it at Trader Joe's and it was around 12 or 14 dollars. A simple Riesling, so straight forward and clean. I made pasta e vongholi and it was perfect with that and a butter lettuce and avocado salad. I especially like this wine at the end of summer/beginning of fall.

um... amazing and delicious. I had the 2006. It is complex but in a subtle, very drinkable way. I found this wine to be a lot lighter than WS notes. I was so surprised and delighted by this wine- a friend brought it over and I am running out to get it. I have tried a couple other Salice Salentino wines, but this beats them. Especially good with a nutty, hard cheese (ie peccorino). Excellent with dried meats.

I had the 2007 - it was excellent. very good with lamb stew. It was really good 2nd glass in- the flavor came around. Heavy base, fruity on top. It held over to day 2 as well (though not as complex).

    monteberto's Review:

this is a great wine, especially for the value. It has a strong nose and then hits the back of the tongue with a little kick. Sort of tangy. Really great with hard pecorino or semi soft Port Salut cheese.

this is a great table wine. strong flavor, tingly on tongue. a little "salty" too. for the price, very recommendable. tastes great with strong food - roasted meats with garlic, kale with lemon and leeks...

Very full bodied, full flavored (cherries & oak). Was fantastic with my bolognese. The wine was good on the 2nd night after opening, too.

    monteberto's Review:

this wine sneaks up on you. It REALLY needs a good 45 minutes to breath and then it is a star (esp for $) . Strong and full bodied. Great for chilly weather and a big meaty, tomatoes, rosemary ,oregano, basil type dish.tastes boozy.
