Added Dec 12, 2009 at 10:17amPretty good for price. Was excellent after 25-30 minutes. Berries on the nose. Delish with the lamb & feta I had.

Added Dec 1, 2009 at 1:31pmI just had this at a lovely French restaurant and was at first disappointed with my choice, but after about 20 minutes, it opened up beautifully. It is a simple wine, not huge bursts of flavor, but very solid and straight forward. I had it with a fava bean and sweet pea soup. The wine improved with food. yum!

Added Nov 21, 2009 at 1:51pmA wee bit pricier than its Pinot Blanc cousin from D & I, but even more flavor. I got it at Trader Joe's and it was around 12 or 14 dollars. A simple Riesling, so straight forward and clean. I made pasta e vongholi and it was perfect with that and a butter lettuce and avocado salad. I especially like this wine at the end of summer/beginning of fall.

Added Nov 21, 2009 at 1:47pmfor $9 (at trader Joe's) this is a great buy. Refreshing is the best word for this crisp, pleasant, dryish wine. pale kiwi fruit flavors... so yummy with a soft dill havarti....

Added Nov 21, 2009 at 1:34pmI did not care for this wine. I found it VERY Jammie. Too tannic, too jammie. I did not find it dry or spicy at all. It was $14.99, about $10 too much as it is now going into the pasta sauce I am about to make.

Added Nov 21, 2009 at 12:44pmum... amazing and delicious. I had the 2006. It is complex but in a subtle, very drinkable way. I found this wine to be a lot lighter than WS notes. I was so surprised and delighted by this wine- a friend brought it over and I am running out to get it. I have tried a couple other Salice Salentino wines, but this beats them. Especially good with a nutty, hard cheese (ie peccorino). Excellent with dried meats.

Added Nov 2, 2009 at 7:12pmI had the 2007 - it was excellent. very good with lamb stew. It was really good 2nd glass in- the flavor came around. Heavy base, fruity on top. It held over to day 2 as well (though not as complex).
