Dark fruit flavors but also tastes of chalk or maybe cocoa powder. Opened up a lot with the Venturi, but got even better after sitting for a little bit.

Dark red or purple color, but thin and see through like a Pinot should be. Plum flavors, along with other fruits. A little smokey with subtle hints of toast, and some candied fruit flavor. This is fantastic and I will be buying more of it soon. 91 pts

Had this wine with an Italian dinner on July 22 2009. Pretty well balanced. Cherries on the nose, and Cherry and chocolate flavors. This was a pop and pour at the restaurant so it did not have time to breathe. If it had decanted for 30 min to an hour it would have been better. Overall I enjoyed this. 88pts
